Avery invited a lot of her friends and family over for her 3rd birthday party, which we held in our backyard in Windsor. The kids had a lot of fun on the slip and slide (it was too cold for us adults) and played Cornhole and Norwegian Golf (ladder golf).
Everyone ate plenty of lunch and snacks, and then we all sat down for cake. Avery decided to use her Sofia the First cake topper as a spoon. She was disappointed to find out that Sofia wasn’t edible.
It’s a bit of a family tradition to fall asleep at parties after a meal…
Then it was time for presents! All the kids gathered around to watch Avery open up her gifts. Mé’mère was on stenography duty, keeping the official record of who gave what. Avery got a lot of great gifts. Our next door neighbor (and her black terrier Abby) gave Avery a black terrier stuffed animal. Avery immediately named it “Little Abby”. A SpongeBob fishing rod from Uncle Richard and some fun games from her cousins were some more highlights. After a long day, Avery was starting to look a bit tired!
